Sampled at GABF! The name definitely pulled me in but all I found was a pretty typical, but tasty, java stout. Thick creamy dark mahogany pour with a tight fluffy tan foam. Flavor shows tons of coffee, roasted malt, vanilla, and chocolate. Pretty solid but not as exciting as the title!

This was the best porter I have had. Pitch black with a small tan head, the aroma was coffee and sweet malts. The flavor was just as good with some vanilla along with the coffee. Incredibly smooth and tasty.

Deep dark brown pour with a tight tan head. The little bit hazy (separate from the darkness). The nose is awesome. Rich and chewy with a lot of roasted malt and very intense coffee character. A touch of light citrus and some heavy toasted/roasted character. Amazingly the citrus comes across more like that in African-grown coffee rather than the typical hop contribution. A touch of earthiness with a very aromatic contribution in terms of the coffee. No grassiness or vegetal character at all. A touch of soft chocolate milk character on the back of the palate. Damn good stuff.

Half pint on tap@Port O.B.: Dark, dark brown with a wisp of tan foam.Rich dark roast coffee aroma. Flavor starts rich dark chocolate with dark roast coffee followed by a lingering black coffee bakers chocolate bitter finish. Full body is smooth and creamy with moderate carbonation.

Nose was heavy with coffee, hints of roast and acrid grain. Taste was very smooth, lots of coffee, more roast than I would expect in a porter, hints of cocoa, burnt sugar, and feint hint of cinnamon. Very impressive beer.

On tap; poured a dark brownish color. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and caramel. Flavor was really nice; roasted malt, coffee, caramel, yeast and a bit of fruit. Really nice.

Tasted at pizza port ocean beach on the 3rd of july 2010 in honor of out independence on the following day and our freedom to have coffee and breakdast. Pours is a dirty hazy muddy unfiltered brown with a tan head consisting of tiny co2 bubbles. Aroma is french press coffee beans espresso roasted beans and vanilla. Flavor is vanilla dank bitter coffee beans fresh espresso coffee coffee coffee hyper caffienated starbucks and a touch of raw sugar. Fantastic fresh super coffee beer. F*ck the weasel and the sh*t pizza port represent. No growlers. ;(

On tap in OB. Pours dark brown with a big tan head, good retention, good lace. Smells of coffee grounds with some light sweetness. Tastes pretty good. Coffee grounds and roast, sweet. Coffee lingers in a good way. Quality not just crappy grounds. Medium body, smooth carbonation.
