Sample on tap at OB. Black with tan head. Sweet and roasted malts, toffee, mild coffee. Bittersweet, medium bodied (thick for a porter), smooth with a very sweet finish that is dry. Combination of sweet and dry on the finish was off but liked the consistency.

(On draught at Beachwood BBQ). Pours near black with a red hue (or maybe that is the lighting here). Tan head. Aroma has big coffee notes, dark bitter chocolate. Taste is sweet with some bitterness. Full bodied with sticky texture. Bitter, roasty finish. This is a nicely balanced beer-good mix of roast and sweetness. Really nice beer.

On tap @ PPOB - Pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma and flavor is roasted malt, coffee, and a hint of smoke. Finish slightly dry. Medium body. A good beer.

On tap at PP Carlsbad. Pours with a near black body and a large and lasting tan head. Aromas of coffee, roast, a bit astringent, espresso, light bread, some smoke and a hint of maple. Flavors are big time coffee, lightly toasty, bacon, espresso beans, roast and chocolate. Medium bubbles, and big bodied. Finishes somewhat dry. Tasty.

From the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center Denver 17/09/2010 Big coffee aroma. Dark coloured smooth and rich on the palate. Strong in alcohol with a hint of dryness in a bitter full coffee roast finish.

On tap @ Pizza Port Ocean Beach: Poured with a minimal amount of head while the color was as expected a pitch black liquid. In the nose, there was a rich and roasty profile of blackened malts with a whiff of alcohol as well. The flavor was sweet and had an oily and sticky palate, but also had a base of rich roasted down malt that hinted towards bitter chocolate. Definitely would love to try this stout out with some bacon, eggs, hash browns, and some waffles or pancakes.

Draft @ Ørsted Ølbar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty coffee aroma with some hints of vanilla. Roasted malty coffee and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee finish.

(Draught) dark brown pour, deep tan bubbles. Nose of sweet coffee, cream, espresso, vanilla and amaretto. Taste of sweet french vanilla beans, brown sugar, and amaretto. Thick body, overly sweet even for a malthead, and cola like finish.
