doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Nov 19, 2008 On-nitro at PPSB. Pours cloudy amber with a moderate , creamy, offwhite head. Smells malty and earthy, some iced tea and a hint of hops. Tastes of iced tea flavored maltiness with some slight citrus, earthy hop notes. A little weird on Nitro I think. Medium body, smooth carb. Dogbrick (2802), Columbus, Ohio, USA Nov 18, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear light orange color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that burns away rather quickly. Spotty rings of lace. Aroma of grainy malt and corn along with a bit of hops. Light body with flavors of mild hops, malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is subdued hops with a short earthy malt aftertaste. Just average overall. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Sep 9, 2008 Golden brown and fizzy. Sweet and malty, with no noticeable hop presence. This is much richer than your standard pale lager, but still isn’t something I’d order very often. Those in my party who prefer lighter beers loved it. badlizard (2324), Berkeley, California, USA Mar 30, 2008 On tap at brewery. light golden brown with a fizzy head. Malty aroma and taste with a grainy finish. Decent. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA Jan 5, 2008 Not bad. However, there is a lot of dirt taste going on that kind of lingers. I think this could have been a lot better if that flavour was not present. Snojerk321 (1908), San Diego, California, USA Jan 5, 2008 On draft @ pizza port solana. A clear golden pour, foamy white head. Nose was a bit spicy with some fruityness as well. One of the best pale lagers out there. alexanderj (2204), Chino Hills, California, USA Dec 24, 2007 ON tap at the Solana Beach location. Ordered by the original scotty 2 hotty to celebrate his roots. Beer itself was pretty bland and unoffensive, which sometimes is a good thing for the style. Some corn and strange fruit presence. Minimal bitterness. golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Dec 24, 2007 Draft at Solana Beach Pizza Port. Yellowish / amber color. Grainy, slightly bitter with a corn finish. Alexanderj thought 3.0ish.
