Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel and cinnamon aroma. Fruity malty spicy dark fruit, caramel and cinnamon flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

Tap. Pours clear tawny with a medium, frothy light tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is cinnamon, clove, cookie and caramel malt with dates and vanilla, light earthy hops. Flavor is malt forward with medium spices, dark fruity esters, light hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

I had this on tap at Beachwood BBQ in Long Beach and I think that this beer is very well-crafted. This clear copperish pour has a nice malty flavor with hints of spice. For once, a winter warmer that isn’t a spice bomb. This was really well made.

On tap. Pours with a clear bronze hued body with a tan head. Aromas are of cinnamon, brown sugar, rich malt, raisins, low chocolate, grapenuts. Smells pretty tasty. Flavors are lightly spicy, bready, malty, cinnamon, anise. Great malt character, mild hop. Smooth, clean and well rounded. Fuller carbonation, medium body, smooth with well hidden alcohol.

Strong Ale 2012. Amber colored pour with an off-white head. Smells a lot like an Anchor OSA. Spruce, nutmeg, all spice, and dark fruits. Some toffee and molasses, mild roast, and cocoa. The flavor is nice and spicy. Lots of nutmeg, all spice, and spruce notes. Toffee sweetness, a bit of molasses, brown sugar, and dark fruits. Some mild roasted malt, cocoa, and dark chocolate.
