Alcoholist (570), Peoria, Illinois, USA Jun 7, 2004 Dark brown and headless. Aroma and flavour is malty and nutty. Alcohol is well hidden. unclebleen (620), California, USA Oct 6, 2003 Color is brown as the name implies. Excellent nutty flavors, tastes like the essence of fresh roasted nuts. Very creamy and warming. Would be great on a chilly night. BeerLimey (1875), California, USA Jun 26, 2003 Reddish brown looks, decent head formation and retention. Distinct nuttiness in the aroma. Well emhasized hot chocolate and hazelnut flavor, the latter certainly addds quite a bit of dryness to the prominent sweetness, while there's also a mild hop bitterness in the finish. Almost porter like in some ways, this is a great creative touch on an under appreciated style. 21iceman40 (1669), north little rock, Arkansas, USA May 3, 2003 A great color scheme to it, a deep brown with a nice moderate tanish head. Little aroma, with a small toasted nut feel. Tasted very creamy and smooth, but more creamy with a subtle almond/walnut feel to it. Very nice,l and as smooth as a criminal. One to have when taking the ladies out, though that never ends up happening, well for sean at least.
