On tap at Pizza Port. Pours very dark brown, nearly black with creamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and coconut. The taste follows the nose with tons of chocolate sweetness and well balanced bourbon. This was one of the best beers I have had in 2012.

On tap @ CASK Pub & Kitchen, London. A black one with a small lacing tan head. Really roasted and light sweet on the aroma, lotís of black chocolate and some light couch as well. Really good. In flavor it has lots of leather couch! Much more than the aroma. Itís thick and chewy in texture and soft to average carbonated. Lotís of coffee roasted maltís in the taste combined with chocolate and more leather couch. Reminds me of dark homemade chocolate ice cream in a way I guess. Tasty and really good! 22.07.2012

Draft, dionysian_son is spot on here. Pours motor oil black with a small creamy mocha head. Aroma is very rich, lots of barrel, oaky wood, bourbon, some big chocolate, molasses, licorice, coffee. Much the same in the flavor, well rounded, with a nice slightly biting finish. Medium full to full body and a soft carbonation. Good beer

A black colored beer, with dark beige head. The aroma of dark roasted malt with vanilla , dark fruits and a little bourbon. The taste of dark fruits, vanilla, coffee candy, some alcohol and bourban notes. The aftertaste of sweet dark fruits, coffee candy, with vanilla and a little alcohol.

Motor Oil pour with cocoa head. Nose with raisin and bittersweet chocolate. Medium thick on the tongue with immediate molassas, moving to black licorice, nutmeg and delightful burbon burn to tinish. Nice beer.

Keg at CPK, London. Pours dark black with a fine, beige foam head. The nose holds molasses, mild burnt wood and dark chocolate. Full flavor, medium to big sweet, with more molasses, some brown sugar, dark chocolate, plums, figs, modest roasted malts. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate warmth on the finish, with light alcohol, very mild burnt wood, more dark fruits and rich cocoa malts. Excellent beer. The barrel treatment is there but not oppressive. Seamless. Wonderful.
