Tap at Sour&Bitter. Black to ink pour with medium carbonation. Webby lace. Nose is heavy fudge, warming bourbon, hot chocolate. Soft, beautiful. Taste is silky, rich, butterscotch, melted chocolate souffle. Excellent aerated, silky, oily palate. Very nice. Pretty funny after all my Pizza Port visits, I find this one in a warehouse in Denmark ;)

Sample @ the Sour & Bitter event in Copenhagen. Pours black with a creamy chocolate brown head that slowly dissipates while leaving some lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is sweet with dark sweet bread, vanilla, alcohol, burnt caramel, wood, roasted malts, sweetened coffee, dark honey and hints of resin. Taste is very sweet with chocolate, vanilla, wood, bourbon, dark sweet bread, coffee, burnt caramel and hints of liquorice, pine and toffee. Mouthfeel is smooth, tiny boozy and full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, coffee, liquorice, bitter chocolate and bourbon.

On tap at S&B. Jet black pour with a mocha head. All kinds of bourbon aromas. The bourbon dominates the palate with undercurrents of dark roasted malts, chocolate, and caramel. Good body and balance. A little too hot, if it were bottled I would let it sit for a year or two.

Tap @ S&B. Pours midnight black with a small espresso head. Aroma is full on bourbon, very nice with vanilla and oak, chocolate, cocoa nibs, sweet liquorice, dark fruits - so good aroma. Taste has a lot of the same. This is a beer that isn't afraid of anyone, especially not Robocop and his helpers. Nice chocolate ganache and dark chocolatey brownie. Best Port beer of the night.

magdalar (498) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAY 10, 2012
Draught. Pours black with a brown head. Smells strongly of bourbon, vanilla, with still some of the original coffee and chocolate. The barrel has softened the bitterness, and made the texture much more creamy. Its now a heavy sweet, medium bitter, and a soft creamy palate.
