The least impressive beer from our 12 samplers. An easy drinking lager like offering without much happening. Yellow and golden, goes down smooth, blah blah. Fizzy and very little else.

From tap at Solana Beach. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Mild hops spiced aroma. Flavour is light spiced, mild fruity and with a light bitterness. Good on a warm day otherwise classic cream ale.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head that burns away pretty quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mildly hoppy aroma with touches of honey and wheat. Light, clean body with light hops and spice flavors along with a bit of grainy malt. The finish is lightly bitter and leaves a lingering fruity hops. Better than expected overall.

On-tap at PPSB. Pours pale yellow, clearish. Thin, crisp, white head that leaves a good amount of lace. Smells light and grainy, wheaty with some light earthy hops. Tastes light and grainy sweet, malty, negligible hop flavor. Smooth, thin to medium body. Subdued moderate carbonation. Basically this beer is like running a light lager through a beer engine. Good...

On tap @ Pizza Port Solana Beach. Pale yellow macro lager look to it. Some honey sweetness, eucaliptus?. Medium to light body. Thought this would be a little more full

On tap @ Pizza Port (Solana Beach) - Pours a very clear light golden color with a small white head. Light lacing. Aroma and flavor is light grain. A smooth, light bodied beer. Actually, everything is light about this beer. It’s not bad, there’s just not much here. A good beer for BMC drinkers.

Draught at Solana Beach. Yellow appearance with white head. Very mild aroma and flavor, hints of vanilla and a very creamy mouthfeel.

on tap in Solana beach. Im a bit sad i wasted my money on thsi one. There is nothing creamy about this beer. Its a slightly sweet, pale lager. Granted its better than most mainstream lagers, but not what I expect from the port. Avoid this one, unless you are comming from a long bikje ride or day at the beach.
