On draught ... PP Carlsbad. - wonderful hop driven aroma. I can’t get over the surly darkness of it, but it tastes like pure hop delight. Not very thick, thin head, satisfying weight and mouthfeel. Very nice and surprisingly so.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Poured into 16oz pint glass. Pour is dark brown/black with little to no head. Aroma is of piny hops with a hint of roasted malt character. Mouthfeel was moderate to thin with very good carbonation. Taste is of roasted malts but ends with a nice hoppy bittnerness on the pallet. 10.5% ABV hidden exremely well.

Pitch black color, very hoppy grapefruity, over truffles, dark fruit with a touch of molasses in the nose. Very rich dark chocolate and dark fruit over a massively hoppy mouth. Way over the top hoppy mouth. The hops feel like they are goin to rip apart your tastebuds. All roasted flavors are basically lost. Just way too much, but not with out merit. Seriously a top three hoppiest beers I’ve ever had. Wow.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma is very hoppy lending it primarily notes of grass, but with underlying notes of roasted malt and a touch of honey. The flavor is very sweet with a fight between the roasted malt and the hops - the latter lending it notes of over ripe oranges, alfa acid, and wet grass. The bitterness and alcohol competes about tickling the tongue most.

Cask at obriens. Roasty, hoppy and strong. Interesting mix of flavors. Not sure what hop combination. Maybe simcoe tossed in somewhere. Another fine ipa by port.

Pint on cask@Carlsbad: Darkest brown/black color with a light brown/tan head. This one is hard to describe. It has a light roasty, citrus aroma. Flavor is roasty, but not quite chocolate or coffee. It has some light citrus, but no grapefruit bitterness. The finish is only lightly bitter. Medium body is smooth and creamy with soft carbonation. Maybe this one is not at it’s best served on cask.
