Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade 8BC, kld., DK-1655 Copenhagen, Denmark.

Clear dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark dark chocolate. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, chocolate beans, cacao. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20101113]

On tap. Pours an opaque dark brown - close to black - with a small beige head. The nose has a little dark chocolate but appears somewhat unclean and really not that appealing. Medium body, hard roast malt and again a little chocolate. Short, dry finish with a very subdued bitterness. 141110

Ungstrup (29170) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 18, 2010
Draft. A dark brown beer with a red shine under a thin lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as lighter notes of berries and chocolate. The flavor is very sweet with primary notes of nuts, but also lighter notes butterscotch, roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee, leading to a dry coffeeish finish.

13-NOV-2010, tap @Mikkeller on "Black Sensation" event. Dark brown, low head. Roasted! Licorice and coco. Not heavy, just roasted. Quite porter-like and not very sweet. A bit thin and short, but this is following several high ABV stouts, so... ...but this really wins on drinkability.
