Clear dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark dark chocolate. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, chocolate beans, cacao. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20101113]

Pours pitch black, not too much lacing. Aroma is strikingly bold: roasts, soil, burnt crème brulee, chocolate, toasted biscuit. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate, toasted nuts, and a wonderful smoky tone throughout. Deep flavor for the ABV, the sweetness is mild, well integrated, and 100% tasty.

Pours dark brown with a medium sized, offwhite head and good lace. Smells of sweet milk chocolate and a hint of roasted malts. Tastes of sweet chocolate with some sweet, roasted malt flavors. Delicious and chocolatey but not just a chocolate beer. Good. Medium body, fizzy-ish carbonation.

Black with a fizzy white head. Caramel chocolate molasses aroma and taste with a roasted grain finish and a slightly sticky palate.

Tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Deep brown/black pour. The nose is intensely chocolatey. Lots of soft milk chocolate syrup over a sweet rich maltiness. Not at all brash or roasty. I don’t know if there is chocolate in here, but it would stack up well against any chocolate stout in the chocolate department. Soft sweetness and a thick wheaty texture make this drink like a glass of dessert.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Dark brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel and coffee with notes of dark chocolate. Roasted flavour of vanilla, cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Roasted finish.

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty slightly sweetish chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar. Pitch black body with a creamy light tan head. The aroma is lots of chocolate, light roasted and some coffee. The flavour is coffee, lots of cocoa and some hard roasted malt.
