Unclear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, oxidide notes, moderate to light light heavy hoppy, fruity, peach, apricot. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, caramel, candy, hides alcohol very well, can sugar - honey warm sweet, bright - pale tobacco. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121215]

03/11/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Ambrata viva, carica, abbastanza limpida, schiuma biancastra, leggera e poco persistente. Aroma di malto, lieviti, con note fruttate e alcol. In bocca è modesta, dolciastra, alcolica, caramellata, con corpo medio e carbonazione leggera. Birra assolutamente deludente.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. The double of PP’s great Carlsbad Chronic Amber ale, this beer pours a deep amber. Biscuit and malt flavors throughout and the beer’s complexity hides it’s 10% extremely well.

Hazy amber color/ ivory head. Pit fruit, melon fruit, caramel, mild wood aromas. medium bodied. Sweet flavors of pit fruit, vanilla, bourbon, spicy caramel--not bad

On tap @ Pizza Port Carlsbad: Served in a half pint glass where the liquid was a burnt orange hue with almost no formation of head. Too hard to get a whiff of the aroma due to all the pizza cooking in the atmosphere. Flavor is intensely bitter with a touch of sweetness. The drink comes across as a little unbalanced with a thick syrupy malt base and perhaps a taste of honey.

Golden pour with a medium white head. Nose is malt driven hints of raisin. Smooth and malty on the tongue. No real striking or distinguishing notes. Overall solidly made.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Light caramel and light mineral aroma. Caramel and light mineral flavor with light grass. Medium bodied. Caramel and light mineral lingers.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours reddish copper with a modest beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a sweet malt flavor with some candi sugar and fruit.

Clear orange with a fizzy white head. Strong aroma and taste of grapefruit and pine with bitter hops flavors dominating the taste.
