COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our customers can’t get enough of this amber ale that was orginally brewed with hemp seeds, but tastes just as good without them.

Pours a golden amber with a decent white head. Aroma is a little odd, haven't smelled such an aroma. Bad aftertaste.

Draught @ San Clemente Location: This one was a sort of coppery/amber color. It was fairly clear. There was not much head to it. The aroma was alright, with a hint of sweetness. The taste had an almost lager-like smoothness to it. It was sweet, with a decent hop bite in the aftertaste. Very Good!

San Clemente: Delicious! Despite Pizza Port having other standout brews, this Carlsbad Chronic has to take the cake! It's absolutely addictive. Copper in the glass. Malty with a touch of bitterness. I could simply drink this all day long due to its slight sweetness. Hemp seeds, eh?

This brew pours with a golden orange body topped by a thin to medium thick head wtih a decent amount of lacing. The aroma and flavor are slightly sweet and malty with very slight candy notes and a slight wooddy hoppiness. This beer is medium bodied and slightly dry.

Clear copper body with a thin, white layer of bubbles. Fairly malty wiht an interesting bittering coming from the hemp seeds. Decent caramel and nutty malts atop toasted bread. The hops are present and held at bay. Ultimately, this seemed more gimmicky than anything else.

Like just about everything the brewery does, it kicks this ale up San Diego Style! Hopped up and smooth as silk. Lovin it!

Medium amber color. Small head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A medium bodied “amber” brewed with hemp seed. Malts are nutty and sweet. Touch of butterscotch. Hops are slightly spicy. Nicely balanced. Smooth taste. Fairly light, crisp and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Red with a white creamy head. Very mellow musty aroma. Very flat flavors, nothing really stands out. The body is quite weak.

This beer poured a reddish/amber color (no surprise). It's aroma and flavor had lots of butterscotch-like notes. In some ways, the flavor & nose were almost like a port. The mouthfeel was velvety, the finish clean. This beer had a lot more flavor and character than I expected from an "amber ale". Unfortunately, I am not a big fan of butterscotch. For those who like that taste, this would be an enjoyable brew

Variation on a red ale, no real bitterness, sweet toffee malts, creamy smoothness. A decent beer that doesn’t try to do too much.
