Bhef25 (35), USA Jun 6, 2008 On tap at carlsbad location. deep color of Amber light creamy head with aroma of caramel. A bit nutty with grains finish this crisp beer. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 5, 2008 Draft at Pizza Port Carlsbad; Nose of light caramel and graininess; very lightly hazy orange with a small off-white head; flavor of caramel and light hop bitterness. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA May 4, 2008 On tap at Pizza Port in Carlsbad, CA--Poured a light amber-copper body with a fluffy white head. Nose of creamy English yeast and biscuit malts. Grassy, stale, and oxidized tasting. Not very good. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 22, 2008 Draught, described by Jeff as a Best Bitter Deep amber beer, with a small white head. Artichoke aroma, maybe a bit phenolic, strange; drying grass. Old, stale cookies, bit of diacetyl? Malty, no hops, even the UK ones are not traceable. Light, not too present on the palate - maybe that’s too British for comfort. Too mainstream for my idea - and if the hempen from the C.D. is correct, another one to add to my idea that hempen is a useless addition. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 25, 2008 On draft, pours a clear copper color with thin head. Mild aroma. Sweet malty taste with just a little bitterness. I was expecting more hops out of this one. It was okay. Charlzm (247), Los Angeles, California, USA Feb 25, 2008 On draft at Pizza Port San Clemente, 02/25/08. Clear golden color with no active carbonation and no aroma in small taster glass. Restrained, mellow malt character, no hoppiness to note. Slight corn on aftertaste. Mildly sweet. Did not note that promised hemp flavors or mouthfeels. goldtwins (4079), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 18, 2008 Tap @ PP Carlsbad. Poured a clear orange-copper color with an off-white head. Toasted malt and toffee notes in the aroma. Some citrus hops with a sweet malt flavor. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Jan 16, 2008 Updated: Mar 14, 2008On-tap PP Carlsbad. Pours an orange yellow color with a thinnish white head. Smells malty sweet not much else. Tastes malty and sweet as well. Some hay in there and very little hops as far as I can tell. Somewhat thickish, sickly sweet, crisp carbonation. With a name like Chronic I expected green buds, you know, hops!
