4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy orange yellow with a big frothy white head that retained well and left fantastic lace. Big grapefruit aromas accompanied by tropical citrus, mostly mango and tangerine, with a hint of a grainymalt foundation. Flavor is dominated by the grapefruit and tropical fruit, very bitter, with a wisp of graham cracker-like malt sweetness. Medium body, lively carbonation, creamy creamy smooth, and a crisp bitter finish.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Carlsbad PP a few months ago. Pours with clear golden hued body with a lasting and lace leaving white head. Aromas are huge tangerine, mango, kumquat, zest, tropical fruit. Bad ass hop aroma, with so much citrus zest! Low malt. Flavors are dank, medium perceived sweet hop fruit flavors, balanced bitterness, dry, lightly husky malt, supremely dank. Dry bodied, lively bubbles. Really good!!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at brewery. Clear golden with a creamy white head. Nice big classic floral grapefruit, pine, and caramel aroma. Tastes of grapefruit with notes of orange and pineapple, caramel, and pine and finishing with a big grassy cereal grain flavor and a big bitter bite. Thick chewy palate. Well done.

28/12/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Bevuta al Pizza Port Tap Takeover. Dorata, limpidissima, viva, schiuma bianca abbondante e persistente. Naso pungente, molto intenso, note erbacee e di resina, leggero fruttato, agrumato. In bocca sorprende, fruttata con note di frutta tropicale e ananas, magnifica! Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. IPA magistrale, equilibrata in maniera perfetta. Super fresh!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Toronado SD. Pours a low haze, glowing gold. Thin head. Nose is puppy breath, pineapple, cantaloupe, and a lot of white grapes- a character that is recurring with wet hop ales this year. Taste is very bitter, intense walnut and Brazil nut, some fruity notes like pineapple, peach, and more white grape juice. Very bitter, long finish. Aggressive, but enjoyable. Can’t really go wrong with a Pizza Port IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden orange pour with a white head. Strong pineapple and grapefruit aromas up front. A lot of floral and grassy notes, too. Some citric character, a bit of pine, and a light herbal quality. The flavor is lightly sweet and bready, but still plenty of grapefruit, floral, herbal, and pineapple hop notes. A mild bitterness, a bit of grass, and a hint of pine.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rap @ PP Carlsbad. Semi-hazy, light golden pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is pungent hops with pine, balanced bitterness, citrus, and juicy tropical fruit (melon, pineapple). Taste is more bitter than the aroma suggests with pine and a slightly burnt off flavor in the malt backbone. Clean mouthfeel. Smelled great but the taste was a bit too bitter and the malt backbone off.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at pizza port c’bad. Clear golden pour, fluffy white head. Nice fresh citra hop profile, sweet fruity hops, earthy, light tropical fruit, citrus, and dry cereal grain background. This beer is very dry and lets the hops shine. Very good.
