Pours a hazed golden color with a sticky white head. Intense grapefruit aroma to this. It’s very citric. Very little malt to it all. There’s some pine, maybe a bit of pineapple. A bit of weed, too. The flavor is just as much intense grapefruit as the aroma had with a bit more pine bitterness and pineapple. The marijuana is there, too. Just a hint of pale malt flavor. Light body, medium carbonation, and easy to drink.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thick off white head. In aroma, a nice bready malt aroma with light floral hops, piney resins, some notes of kiwi. In mouth, a nicely hopped pale ale with fresh green hops, a bit of citrus notes, light, fragrant and pleasant. On tap at Ballast Point 13 Anniv. Beer Festival , Oct. 24 2009.

Growler… Clear, deeply golden ale with nice orange highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Musky, earthy, grapefruity nose. Medium-bodied and raspy with soft carbonation. Lots of lupulin flavor, but the bitterness is not overbearing. Lengthy, grassy, dry finish. Growler courtesy of WeeHeavySD!

On tap at Toronado. This orange/gold beer poured with a thin off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a rich caramel malt flavor with a pleasant piney hop bitterness. A nice brew.

Draft. Amber beer with a light cream colored head. Summer fruit aroma. Pine and summer fruit flavor with light grapefruit. Medium bodied. Nice bitterness. Pine and grapefruit linger. Bordering on IPA.

On tap at Carlsbad. Pours with a mildly hazed golden hued body with a frothy white head that lasts. Aromas are of tangerine, pomelo, citrus, herbaceous and dank. All hops. Flavors are sweet fruit, citrus, herbaceous, dank and a bit minty. Low to no malt character which is fine by me. Fresh tasting. Lively bubbles and dry. Good, but are very hoppy 6.1% beers American Pale Ales these days?

Pours a clear gold w/ slight orange tinge. White head. I had the beer after a Poormans so take that into account. Citrus, hint of caramel malt, slight grapefruit. I thought it was a pretty light and refreshing pale ale. Easy drinking and tasty.

Tasted at the 7th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/24/2010. This pale ale pours a medium orange gold color from the firkin. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is orange, citrusy hops and malts. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. Lot of orange . Semi-sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Nice balance. Nice soft carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
