dalekliz (71), San Diego, California, USA Mar 8, 2008 On tap at Port Solana, shared with WeeHeavySD. Reddish-amber with a light, quickly fading head. Sweet aroma of malt. Flavor is also sweet malt, and I tasted a hint of sourness. Light lingering bitterness. Tasty overall. Pours a not too dark brownish/red with an off-white head. Smells faintly of caramelly malts. Tastes of sweet caramelly malts as well. Kind of watered down tasting to me. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Bronze at GABF 07... Really? riversideAK (1325), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jan 7, 2008 Dark amber with a thin head. Light and sweet toffee malt with a touch of chocolate too. Flavor is more toffee, caramel, and chocolate. A touch of bitterness. Finishes with a lingering sweetness. Pretty nice. Snojerk321 (715), San Diego, California, USA Jan 5, 2008 tap @ Port Solana.. Poured a deep rusty brown with a creamy, light tan head. Aroma was fairly sweet and malty, some light herbal hop presence as well. A great classic Scottish ale finish........smoooooth.
