Commercial Description:
This bold Belgian Style Ale is a blend of 4 sources of fermentable sugars. American Oak, sour cherries, and three seperate strains of brettanomyces. It takes over a year to make each batch because a beer like this requires patience, creativity, and most importantly, equal parts luck and skill. We know of no other beverage in the world that tastes like this.

Bottle courtesy of pantanap. Poured a hazy reddish brown color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is of oak, cherries, and lactobacillus. Full bodied with very soft carbonation. Flavor is tart, sour cherries and wood, mildly sour overall but very acidic and vinous. Finish is mouth drying acidity. This is the first sour that I’ve ever truly enjoyed, I will definitely seek this out again. Thanks Kan!

Drank with Cappa at my place. Med brown color, massive sourness exudes far from the glass and hits your nose. Upon further investigation, sour cherries are clearly present, as well as oak, and faint hints of cinnamon and chocolate. The mouth starts tart and then a massive blast of oak comes up. Very well hidden alcohol. Very well balanced between the oak and sour cherries. Amazing depth. Everything is fairly big and out there and to a point, is verging on a very oaky Pinot if there every could be such thing. Definitely some berries (raspberries, blackberries?) in the background. Seriously this is more vinous than I could have imagined. That is not a bad thing at all. Slight alcohol warming finish. Awesome.

Bottle sample thanks to STLWill. Brown pour, a little carbonation and a great aroma of boozy cherries. Flavor was also up front with very sour cherries, and then mellowed with a little dry sweetness on the finish.

750ml bottle. Poured a muddy brown. No head at all completely flat. I was a little worried. Aroma is somewhat muted from the lack of carbonation. Sour cherry with substantial caramel and bourbon notes. Some definite woodiness in the nose as well. Deep rich palate. Very very light carbonation, which I don’t think is intentional. Starts off somewhat acidic with sour cherry. MIddle has heavy notes of caramel and wood. Finishes with a some vanilla and bourbon and a lingering acidic sourness. Really really amazing. Worth the money. Hopefully the figure out the issue with the carbonation because this could have been in my top 3.

On tap at Brouwer’s Seattle Beer Week Sour Fest. Pours dark reddish brown with minimal head. Sweet/tart cherry aroma with some caramel malt. Flavor is more tart than the smell but has a raisin/prune taste that surfaces by the end.

2008 bottle thanks to John. Shared with a few friends. Pour is deeper ruby with a frothy off white head. Aromas of cherries, sour funk, burbon, and other dark fruits. Flavor is mellow with tart cherries, rasins, caramel, and finishing smooth. Awesome brew here, just wish it was cheaper, but I guess you get what you pay for.
