Commercial Description:
This bold Belgian Style Ale is a blend of 4 sources of fermentable sugars. American Oak, sour cherries, and three seperate strains of brettanomyces. It takes over a year to make each batch because a beer like this requires patience, creativity, and most importantly, equal parts luck and skill. We know of no other beverage in the world that tastes like this.

Huge thanks to imadeadguy for suppling. Poured brownish with a white head. Aroma of fruit, spice, and candy. O wow. Awesome sour fruit flavor, mostly cherries. Some candy and caramel.

Bottle at Nørrebro Bryghus. Pours brown like with a tan head. Aroma is raisins, malt, bourbon and a hint of cheap tequila which i cant stand. Flavour is raisins, prunes, wood, a little cocos and tequila like. It has a fantastic bourbon, raisin and prune aftertaste!

Bottle@WSF09. Aroma is bourbon and fruits. Hazy brown colour, beige head, good lace. Sweet, sour, bitter, fruity, citric, raisin and of course bourbon. Warming. Very nice beer but overrated a lot IMO.

Shared by HogTownHarry with me before the ballgame. What a brew for having before the game! Appearance: Ribena/blackcurrant. Aroma: Oak and cherry! Malty with lots of blackcurrant. Flavour: Eye watering! Cherry, cherry, cherry, beer and cherry juice and assault on the senses, long cherry oak finish. Just superb - thanks Harry!

Bottle, labeled as Lost Abbey (not Pizza Port) Cuvee de Tomme. Excellent dark reddish-brown color with a tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, oak, and tartness. Flavor is complex with sour cherries, figs, raisins, vanilla, oak, and sourness that isn’t too intense. Mild sweetness present as well to balance. Sharp palate with medium carbonation and fairly full body. Good stuff.

Tap at Brouwer’s Sour Fest during SBW. Mildly sour nose. Looks black in the glass but is actually chocolate brown when held to the light. Almost no head. Flavor is subtle. Starts off mildly sour then very tart. Sour apple and grapes linger on the palate. Medium body. I love Lost Abbey/Pizza Port beers but this wasn’t as good as I had hoped.

Nice dark brown-red pour. Slight opaque. Bubbly with a little bit of sediment floating around. Nice lacing on the glass and a thin light tan head. Apple juice aroma with lots of fruit. Nice fruity sourness. Tart but doesn’t over power. Perfect. Some raisin notes.

dark brown pour, no head, as it warms lots of vinegar scent forms to compliment the woodiness. Taste is strong on fruits, a little oaky, very acidic with nice vinegar notes
