Massive acidic flavour, deeply fruity (berries, cherries), woodiness...yeah I need more of this one. P-tor44 (886), Anchorage, Alaska, USA

Dirty, thick brown with no head...bit malty sour cherry nose, sweet thick and minty with some wood and alcohol noticeable...gorgeous alcoholic cognac-cherry liqueur on the tongue, sticky and thick with maybe a little too much alcohol...very pleasant super-Flemish sour though I think not exactly my thing...still, the work of a master, original brewer. The berries taste great in combination with the underlying sourness. A honour to get to drink this thank you Jens! papajohn (1055), San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA

Dark fruit (black cherry) aroma. Flavor is merlot like, tart black cherry, syrupy with a lightly sour finish. Palate is smooth. WOW, an amazing brew from the genius of "The Tomme Arthur". Light chestnut color with a fizzy dissipating head. Mild aromas of sour cherries, oak and rich red wine. Full flavored is one way to describe, with full tannins and plenty of oak. Cherries, light fruit, hints of spice and deep cabernet wine tendencies. Very quaffable and enjoyable. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 1, 2004 Draft at GABF. Nice dark red color. Good, faint cherry aroma. Brown head. Strong cherry taste up front. Finish gets bready. Alcohol is up there, noticable, but balanced and appropriate. Good beer for sure. Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA
