Vintage 2008, 375ml bottle, caged and corked. definitely needs age. Pours muddy brown, yeast has yet to settle. aroma of sour and Brett. Oak some cherries. Flavors is big tartness. Some heat. There should be more heat at 11.5% ABV. Nice sour cherry characters in the finish. Nice brown sour ale, can’t wait to re-rate.

Oct 9, 2008 HUGE thanks to Mitch (beerguy101) for this. Poured a dark mahogany/ cherry with no head. The aroma was cherry and vinegar. Flavors are cherry, raisins, and oak. Sour and very smooth. Goes down easy. Great beer!

Oct 9, 2008 Bottle from 2008: Sour aroma. Smells of tart cherries, oak, and Brett. Poured brown/raspberry in color with a tiny off-white head. Hazy. Flavor is highly sour. Tastes of sour mix, tart fruits, oak, cherries, and alcohol. Light to medium body. Soft texture. Soft to average carbonation. Tart fruit finish.

Oct 2, 2008 Pours a dark brownish/raspberry color with no head whatsoever. Beautiful smells of tarty, sour fruits with pears, cherries, and raisins. First taste is sweet, tarty and sour with cherries, raisins, green apples, and grapes all meshing into wonderful full sensory experience. Damn this is good. A tad more carbonation, please? - Complex yet mellow. Loud but quiet.

Oct 1, 2008 12.7 oz bottle, 2008. Deep, barely clear, magenta with a thin beige ring. Nose is cherry preserves and light funk with hints of raspberry, maple and vanilla. Juicy and mouthwatering with a mild tingle. Taste is sour cherry then red wine; beaujolais? Dry woody finish. Lip smacking good but doesn’t blow me away.
