Draft. A deep red beer with a thick brown head. The aroma has notes of sulphur. The flavor is sweet with notes of sulphur, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry sulphur finish. Much like a Brittish mild ale.

On tap at PP Solana beach. Brown in the glass with small tan head. Nose is chocolate and roast malt. Light feel and taste in the mouth. Light porter taste. Wouldn’t have guessed this was a mild. Good beer.

A: The pour is a slightly muddled dark amber/mahogany color with a mild tan head. S: The nose is mild with some notes of sweet, bready malts and a touch of toffee. T: The flavors follow the nose for the most part. The primary component of the beer is the malt which is lightly sweet and has plenty of bread and toffee flavor. There is a touch of bitterness to it as well. M: The body is medium with a very low, smooth carbonation that you expect from the cask. D: The flavors didn’t exactly excite me, but the beer was easy to drink and the low alcohol allows you to take it down easily.

Growler shared by bring from BA. Don’t hate because this is a mild. It is one hell of a session beer. Dark brown with a fairly large tan head and good lacing. Aroma is toast, caramel malt, and nuts. Flavor is more of the same, maybe with some hints of dark fruit. Really tasty for the low ABV. Dry and somewhat bitter on the finish. Palate fairly full for the style.

Tap at Lost Abbey. Pours a nice brown with an off white head. Real nice malt complex, some caramel. Nice mild session beer with nice flavors.
