Feb 12, 2006 <i>Draught at the brewpub. </i> Nut brown. Dominated by roasty malt, but with a light soapy hop profile to accompany it. The mouthfeel is rounded and firm. A good, simple beer, but a mild would need softer mouthfeel to grab my attention.

Nov 30, 2004 On tap @ Pizza Port in Solana Beach. Poured a dark brown color with a large of white head. Aromas and tastes of caramel and nuts. Some roasted malts. Lightly sweet.

Jun 12, 2004 On tap at Pizza Port, Solana Beach...Very dark, clear, cherry wood-colored ale. Small, creamy, off-white head. Chocolately aroma and flavor. Light-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. Not at all bad for a mild. More like a nut brown.

Aug 18, 2004 Nutty toffee and roasted malt combine to create an interesting brown ale with subtle roasty bitterness…Great drinkability spiced with a few coffee beans…A morning quaffer if there ever was one…
