2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 YourDarkLord (1800) - Urbana, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2005
Thanks to Noah for sharing this. Pours a clody orange with an off-white champagne-like head that fizzes out quickly. Aroma holds some sweetness, malty, bitter almonds, yeast. Lively carbonation and a sparkly mouthfeel. The flavor was pretty much sour. More like a Flemish Sour to me.

Bottle. Lightly sour. Some light caramel or toffee comes through, and then finishes sour, and medium dry. Sweetish aswell i guess, but nicely soft and round flavour. Pretty good.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 omhper (17437) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 25, 2005
Bottled at RBESG (thanks to beerhandy for sending it!). Hazy amber. Plenty of lactic acid in the nose, then almondy Belgian style malt character takes over for a whilr until citric strikes back in the finish. Surprisingly light bodied. Fresh and complex, but Pizza Port’s very best sour ales are even better.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2005
(Bottle 65 cl) Hazy orangey golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly sour nose. Weak flavour of caramel malt on a surprisingly thin body. Weak acidity but otherwise nothing much. Hugely disappointing. 120805

shared by Heemer77. this is a light brown in color with an off-white ringof lace upon the pour, but fades to no lace at all rather abruptly. aroma is of sour fruit. taste is of more sour fruit, apples in particular. very sour on the finish. I’ve learned recently that sour beers are not for me.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ungstrup (26194) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2005
A hazy orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet slighlty malty and slihgtly alcoholic. The flavor is very malty and slightly sour - as if it has been wildfermented, this gives it a hint of grapefruit, and a dry end. The mouthfeel is very carbonated. From drinking it I’d categorize it as a Flemish Sour, not a Belgian Ale.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 heemer77 (5008) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - AUG 20, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2005 This poured a cloudy dark amber. The aroma is sour with cherries and hay. There is also some caramel, but it is muted. The taste is sour lemons with bananas and Sweet Tarts. This is leathery and funky with a cheesy finish. Finishes very dry on the palate. I am not sure what the intended flavors were in this beer.
