Tap at both Pizza Port Carlsbad and San Clemente. Same recipe it looks like for both locations. Pours a clear, deep amber with tan mousse. Estery near dunkelweizen notes with chocolate covered banana and mild vinegar twang. Taste is sweeter, malty, cola, dessert like with banana split character. Quite good- more like a dunkelweizen to me. Maybe not the correct yeast strain but decent nevertheless.

Murky copper brown pour, with a small light tannish head. Raisin, caramel, and sugar soaked bread. Medium chewy mouthfeel. I think the abv on this batch was higher. A little too sweet for my liking.

Tap sample. Poured clear dark copper color with a large creamy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted malt and yeasty aroma. Medium to full body with smooth texture and soft carbonation.Medium sweet flavor with a medium complex sweet finish of moderate duration. Good brew.

Pours a dark copper/brown with almost no head. Aroma is raisins, a bit of Belgian yeast and some bread. Taste follows the nose with just a bit of tart cherries in there too.

Medium copper, light clear, really great tope head, great lacing... Ok nose, dark fruitns, raisins, shocker, sugar a bit of alcohol... Tons of bread, raisins, dark fruints, very malty, a little to sweet but one of the better American trappist’s Ikve had

Clear reddish brown hue, clovey bubblegum aroma. Sweet minty flavor, light raisin bread malt. Decent flavor but a little light in body for a dubbel.

On tap at PP Carlsbad. It pours amber with an off white head. The aroma is fruity with raisins and a bit of pumpernickel bread crust and brown sugar. The flavor is fruity and yeasty with some clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It has a nice balanced yeasty dry finish.
