Tap @ PP Carlsbad. Almost clear brown w mahogony tint, good beige head. Aroma is Belgian yeast with mild fruit, light hops & med roast malt. Flavor is Belgian Abby style, into medium bodied, semi dry w a nice bitterness, the raisins are noticable on the palate. Tart & dry on the finish.

Smells of spice, yeast, dark fruity malts, and a touch of smoke? Am I smoking crack? Perhaps, but notes say smoke. Pours a dark red color. Pretty yeasty and spicy w darker malts, fruit, and a salty kind of sweetness that I can liken to being the 6o pounds of raisins maybe. Spicy esters linger.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Poured a burnt amber color with a thin formation of fluffy heading. Nose detected a minimum of caramel malt and an unknown smell of spicy yeast. The palate is a extremely smooth and almost shows no signs of carbonation. The flavor is a little out of balance though and shows more malty sweetness then the minor spices and yeast present. Wouldn’t recommend this be bottled and sold.

On tap at Port Carlsbad, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing it. Dark brownish-red with a white ring, no real head. Aroma is full of malt and yeast, with a lot of sweet raisin notes. Taste is very meaty and sweet. Not bad, but nothing I’d seek out either.

Draft @ PP Carlsbad Pours dark amber with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet and raisin infused. Taset is sweet robust and light, at first I thought it was ok, but I didn’t finish my class.
