3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2007 On draft at San Clemente PP. A very nice aroma of pine and grapefruit. Upon first sip, I thought: ’wow, this has a very interesting hop profile’. A somewhat unique flavor compared to all the other standard socal IPA’s - floral, citrusy, and refreshing. I thought it was a very nice beer, however low on the malt reinforcement.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft; poured a copper with a small to medium white head. Aroma of citrus, floral and grapefruit; some caramel malt. Flavor was the same; dominated by the hops. Hints of honey. One of the best flowery hopped beers that I have had.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
GABF 2006. Pale copper, clear, thin white head. Aroma dominated by hops with malt secondary. Hops are balanced. Flavor - hops really upfront, bitterness dominates. Malt is there, but out in the background. A little stale in the finish. Overall, a good beer, but nothing special.

GABF 06. A nice well balanced IPA. Plenty of malt to back up the hops. Very drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lots of citrus hops and a lot of balance. Very typical IPA. I could tell no difference between this and the Rip Tide. Both were good though.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light amber body with almost no head. Cold at first so I waited for it to warm up before getting some nice citrus and pine on the nose. Nice malts thorughout but the real flavour is in the citrus and grapefruit dominating hops. Finish bitter. Good but not great.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap, May 7,2006. Light copper to amber pour. Loads of pine and grapefruit. Has a bitter kick that lingers in the palate for a while. Med lacing, Flavors of Sweet and sour banana buble gum.. huge flowery hops finish, more grapefruit, then bitter again with a salty aftertaste. Not my style of beer with so much flowery grapfruity taste... and way to bitter.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft, Dec ’05. Clear light copper pour. Grapefruit hoppy aroma with some malt. Very grapefruit hoppy flavors, again with some malts, but I would like to have had just a touch more malt. Bitter finish, and hop burpy. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
@Sanni...pours a very bright gold and has a minimal totally white head. Smelss of fresh hops and citrus...a bit of sweetness as well. Flavor is very crisp with grassy citrusy hops...but nothing else really. Mouthfeel is smooth and lightly carbonated. Very refreshing and tasty with the pizza...but I wouldn’t bother ordering another considering the other beers available.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap@brewery. Clear, honey-golden color with thin whitish head and a few dots and streaks of lace. Aroma of honey and grapefruit rind. Mouth is medium, dry and smoothe with clean carbonation. Flavor is cookie-cutter, much like the aroma. Dominated by hops, although some sugar and honeyed malts try to speak up early. Grapefruit rind and pine ring home for the hops, although mostly gfruit rind. It was pretty boring, but refreshing and nice.
