Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 2, 2005 [At GABF 2004] A hazy yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is very grassy intertwined with notes of hop oils. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy leading to a dry finish. yespr (7788), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 From tap at San Clemente. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Grapefruity and pine needle hops aroma. Flavour is dense hoppy but with a good solid caramel malt base. Dry and bitter into the fnish with a declining hops fruity accent. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 12/04/2005
Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 5, 2005 Strong citrus/floral nose, complementing the usual crystal malts, sweet and earthy. The pour is of a shining golden, the head being white and mostly diminishing. Spicy in mouth, green hop flavours, crisp carbonation, adequate lean to medium body. Typical tasty west coast IPA that has enough vibe and life to avoid boredom, but mostly insubstantial. BBB63 (3843), La Porte, Indiana, USA Dec 5, 2007 OC Tour, tap at brewpub: Golden hue with frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of fresh citrus (grapefruit, orange), grassy and resiny hops, biscuity malt and peppery ester. The taste has a moderate fruity bitterness with a pale malt and caramel background. Spicy and dry metallic finish. A solid brew and refreshing.
