Feb 2, 2008 On tap @ the Liar’s Club in Alpine back in early 01/08. Pours a clear deep gold with lasting ring of white foam. The aroma is full with a load of grapefruit juice, some tangelo and orange juice. Just plain old YUMMM. The taste is fruity grapefruit and tangelo juice that dominates the flavor and becomes more and more bitter into the after taste. Midway and to the finish a sweet maltiness rises up and feebly competes(and loses) to the hops. Excellent IPA.

Aug 15, 2008 Growler. Beautiful golden color, fairly clear. Big fruity, piney hop aroma. Medium body with the right amount of carmel sweetness. Huge hop flavor. An absolute Must Try beer.

Aug 9, 2004 Light orange gold color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is floral and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet (orange and apricots). Hops are floral and citrusy. A BIG hop aroma leads to a surprisingly well balanced and medium bitter IPA. I was expected way more bitterness from the aroma. Nice IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and very smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Jun 22, 2005 SD real ale festival. Pours lite orange with a creamy head. Fresh hopsack aroma mainly grapefruit and pine. Huge fresh grassy, spicy flavors witha balancing maltiness. Big dry hoppy finish. Great stuff.

Nov 20, 2008 The sweetness fades to bitter in the mouth. A lot of bitter! The two tastes never meld together so it never becomes more than a sum of its parts, however, those parts are still excellent. This is a great beer, but when at PIzza Port you have access to so much amazing beer that this tastes ordinary at the time.
