Killer Beer! A clear deep gold with lasting ring of white foam. The aroma is full with a load of grapefruit juice, tangelo juice. Just plain old YUMMM. The taste and flavor is bitter and pungent aroma of hops and becomes more and more bitter into the after taste. Midway and to the finish a sweet maltiness rises up and feebly competes but loses to the hops. Excellent IPA.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2009 On tap @ the Liar’s Club in Alpine back in early 01/08. Pours a clear deep gold with lasting ring of white foam. The aroma is full with a load of grapefruit juice, some tangelo and orange juice. Just plain old YUMMM. The taste is fruity grapefruit and tangelo juice that dominates the flavor and becomes more and more bitter into the after taste. Midway and to the finish a sweet maltiness rises up and feebly competes(and loses) to the hops. Excellent IPA.

Growler. Beautiful golden color, fairly clear. Big fruity, piney hop aroma. Medium body with the right amount of carmel sweetness. Huge hop flavor. An absolute Must Try beer.

Light orange gold color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is floral and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet (orange and apricots). Hops are floral and citrusy. A BIG hop aroma leads to a surprisingly well balanced and medium bitter IPA. I was expected way more bitterness from the aroma. Nice IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and very smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Nice apricot colored pour and has a white head. Aroma is resiny and citrus hops with some doughy malts mixed in. Tropical fruit, citrus, resin, wheat thins and a nice bitter finish.

The sweetness fades to bitter in the mouth. A lot of bitter! The two tastes never meld together so it never becomes more than a sum of its parts, however, those parts are still excellent. This is a great beer, but when at PIzza Port you have access to so much amazing beer that this tastes ordinary at the time.

Tap @ Bistro IPA Festival. A fantastic first beer for the festival and my second favorite overall. A medium golden color with a laced white head. A huge pine bite with a fresh hop profile. Dry but smooth with a long lasting aftertaste.

San Clemente: Very bitter, as expected, with plenty of citrusy grapefruit bite! Nonetheless, I thought it was terrific, which is something I don't say about IPA's often. Must be because there was enough malt to make things interesting. The Cascade hops are plenty evident.

Draught @ San Clemente location: This one poured an orangish color, and was fairly clear. There was almost no head to my pour. There was a big blast of grapefruit hops to the nose. There was also a little grassiness and pine scents on there also. The taste was pretty much the same. A big blast of hops, with a decent malt body behind it. This went down smooth. A very good brew.
