Extremely black. Leaves a nice lacing. Coffee aroma dominates. Smoky and bitter. Beer is very astringent with a long aftertaste. Needs balance.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft sampled at GABF 2014. Pours a deep brownish black with thin tan lacing. Aroma is super sweet chocolate, light roast, brownie, and brown sugar. Mouthfeel is medium to full and rich with notes of chocolate syrup covered brownie, oak, rich coffee roast and sugar. Overall a bit too sweet, but still a nice stout.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
aroma on this is a very enticing funky chocolate. but tastes of too much yeasty cheese, which makes the chocolate/fudge flavor off-putting. some overly sweet brown sugar in there finishes kind of harshly.

16oz tap pour at Bressi Ranch. Inky black pour with large mocha foam. Aroma of hot chocolate, s’mores, graham cracker. Taste is a bit sweeter than Order in the Port, not as hoppy, but a much better beer structurally than Night Rider. Thicker, chewy mouthfeel like brownie batter, extremely rich body, perhaps the most "massive" beer made by any Pizza Port, though not as approachable as Death Star and not as ’perfect’ as Order in the Port with the latter’s high hop balance. Better than Barrel Aged Night Rider.

Keg at PP Ocean Beach, 19/04/14.
Black with a moderate tan covering that soon dissipates to zero.
Nose is big roast, chocolate, light spice, molasses.
Taste comprises rich chocolate, roast malt, molasses, dark toffee fudge, brown sugardom.
Medium + body, fine carbonation.
Easy drinking impy, the 11% doesn’t rear its head much, lacks depth though.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of medium roasted malt, some chocolate and medium sweetness. Flavour brings out loads of sweet roasted malt, light coffee notes, and a touch of cocoa. Very well-balanced without any harshness or cloying sweetness.
