Reviewed from notes. Pours a nice golden color with a bit of a white head and lacing, but not as much as I would expect from a tripel. The nose brings some spice and fruit as well as some light grain sweetness. The taste is mostly spice and fruit without too much else, though what is there is a bit nice. Feel is nice with some spice and fruit with good carbonation. Drinks fairly well, but doesn’t stand up to the Belgian examples of the style. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-03-2010

Draught at Mikkeller bar, Copenhagen. Slightly hazy golden color. Aromas of clove and tart berrries. Sweet flavor with grapefruit, gooseberry, toffee, soft warming alcohol and some tart vinous notes. Some phenols in finish. Full bodied. Nice vinous and fruity character, a bit heavy on a palate.

This is really tasty. Lots of spices. Definitely strong; doesn’t hide the alcohol at all. Crisp and spicy. This goes back and forth between being really good and needing to mask the strength better.

Clear golden yellow pour... very slightly hazy. White head, good lacing. Sweet malts, banana bread, honey, clove, coriander, lemon zest, and a slight funk. A nice tripel, well balanced.

On my first flight of beers while in Pizza Port San Clemente on 17th July 2014. Golden with a thin white covering. The aroma was semi-sweet and fruity with a mini yeast hint, the taste followed on the same. A pleasant enough Tripel with an alcohol content that is hidden well by the flavours.

Draft at Avery Strong Ale Fest 2010. Pours a perfect urine yellow with a small white head. Nose of esters, spice, alcohol, hops. Flavors are similar, with some coriander and other spice, citrus, more alcohol, and lots of sweetness. Not my cup of tea.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. A clear golden one with a medium sized quite white head. Smells actually mildly of snuff (snus) and fruits. Some rhubarb perhaps? I don’t know, but I know that I find this quite nice in the flavor! It’s light fruity and yeasty, with some spicy pepper and a little warming hint of alcohol. OK, perhaps a bit more than a hint, and the same in the finish. Almost boozy aftertaste actually.. 10.05.2012

Tap @ PP Belgian Fest 09. Pours orange with a bright white head. Nose is sweet and yeasty. Taste is yeasty, and overall tasty and decent.

On tap; poured a hazy gold type color with a whitish head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, bubblegum and clove. Flavor was yeasty and spicy. Sweet. Enjoyable.
