3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Toronado SD: Poured a dark amber red hue with a thick fluffy topping of head. The aroma is thick with hops and a smooth balance of caramel malt. The initial taste is bitter hop with some sweet caramel. Overall this is well rounded and does justice to an Imperial red style.

Deep rich red, light bodied lots of hops, but well balanced. A weak verision of arrogant bastard.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Pizza Port San Clemente.
Deep amber pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is very malty with lots of bread and toast. Pine and resin hop aromas as well. Flavor is very balanced with the malt balancing out the hop bitterness. Citrus and pine with some nuttiness.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured up on tap at Stone Bistro with amber body and copper like edges supporting a loose light tan head. The aroma is modest in strength but offers up a good deal of complexity with roasted malts, crystal like malt sweetness, spicy to pine hops and a thicket of caramel candy from time to time. The taste has a firm and pleasing level of pine hops, spicy hops and some citrus too. In between the bold hops are thin layers of mildly roasted malts, malt sweetness and a bit of caramel. Nice hoppy brew.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smells earthy and floral. Pours coped with light tan head. Tastes wheaty, Carmel slight bitter, quite delicious. Surprisingly so, as I haven’t ha many reds.
