Labeled Grumpy’s Strong Pale Ale &#40;7.0% abv&#41; on tap at Solana Beach on 11/30/06: Pours a transparent light copper bronze with a pillowy off-white head. Has a lightly grapefruity hoppy caramel malty nose. Body starts sweet and pale malty with a ton of fresh citrusy bittering and flavor hops. Finishes warming and bittersweet with a lot of hop resin.

this was a weird brew, it said it was storng, but it tasted kinda like the lagers with a bit of hops. seeing as there is no stat on abv i still have no idea. i drank it cause i hadnt had it, but i wouldnt get it again unless only keystohne light was on tap

Tap &#64; Carlsbad, Dec 05. Clear pale gold pour. Piney hop aroma, Light malty flavors with some citrus and pine hops and a decent finish.

<i>Draught at the brewpub. </i> Hazy pale yellow, rich head. Moderate lemonady mango-like hop aroma. Crisp and light bodied wth clean mouthfeel and medium bitterness. Fairly simple, but with refreshing qualities.
