goldtwins (3747), Nesconset, New York, USA Jul 30, 2008 Tap @ Solana. Poured a hazed amber with an off-white head. Nice big hop forward aroma. Big pine and grapefruit. Huge but smooth pine and grapefruit flavor. The malt is hidden. Long hop finish with a mild-moderate bitterness. Nice warmth. This is what an IIPA should be. Ty5592 (1009), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 30, 2008 Updated: May 1, 2008Growler from alohaC. Pours a light hazy pale orage color with medium tight head. Aroma of fresh citurs hops mixed with pine and weed. Flavors were the same with apricots and mango notes throughout. Nice light malty sweetness. Firm body with a lingering hop bitterness finish. Excellent stuff here. trokini (943), San Diego, California, USA Apr 1, 2008 Cask @ Solana Beach. Pours clear orange-gold with no head (cask). Oily body. Heavy perfume aroma with lots of grapefruit and pine, more like a frersh hop IPA would smell. Lovely taste. Great mix of grapefruit, mango, resin, pineapple, with just a bit of malt to keep it in control. No carbonation and a click mouthfeel. For the record, this is a double version of Swami’s. yespr (7788), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 From tap at Solana Beach. Pours slight cloudy orange with a lacing white head. Aroma is fruity hops of grapefruit but also a bit spiced. Solid spiced and hoppy flavour with a nicely balanced caramel malt base. Dense flavourful brew yet also smooth.
