Some ruby red tones glint under light. Subtle aromas of malt balls combine with some light chocolate and a touch of nuttiness. Light, creamy body. The flavors start ourt a bit sweet and thin, but have a slightly sweet nutty character. The finish is a bit dryer, bringing some lightly roasted coffee to the palate in the final smack. kramer (1956), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 8, 2006 On tap, on nitro, Solana Beach location. Pours a clear dark brown colored body under a medium sized creamy nitrogenated brown head with good retention. Aroma is of chocolate malt and a lighter roast note. Lightly sweet honey accent. Flavor is slightly sweet, a good bit of chocolate malt, no bitterness at all. Good bit of sweet honey emerges mid swallow and really comes on in the finish. Mouthfeel is the classic nitro creamy texture, fairly light bodied, with minimal to no carbonation. Overall, an OK Porter, but maybe would have been a little better were it not on nitro.
