4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 andersand (484) - Malmö, SWEDEN - FEB 21, 2009
Juicy, sticky, nasty yet lovely DIPA. Not the best looking fellow but the aroma and taste makes up for that with piney hops and sticky caramel. Big biting finish that holds on to your mouth for quite some time. I try to drink this as often as I possibly can.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 polomagnifico (845) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - FEB 17, 2009
Bottle thanks to MrChopin, Thanks Kevin!! Aroma has notes of citrus, resin, caramel, raisins. Very good nose. Medium orange amber hue with a very small fully diminishing head that left no lace. Flavor is nice and sweet with a nice bitter finish. Palate is medium to full bodied and oily flat. Fantastic DIPA. I love the sweet caramel malts and the citrus pine hops. The head was nowhere but that’s ok. Very nice.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ChainGangGuy (3685) - Canton, Georgia, USA - FEB 16, 2009
Appearance: Pours a lightly hazy, amber body with a creamy-looking, white head.
Smell: Fruity, citrusy floral, unquestionably tropical hop aroma encompassing a sweet-scented malt base.
Taste: Sweet, surprisingly sweet, pale maltiness. Hmm, it’s candyish even. Expressive hop flavors of pine resin, grapefruit pith, orange blossoms, and lemon zest. The bitterness is somewhat restrained for a DIPA, medium at best. Light touches of alcohol throughout; their noticeable, but not bothersome. Finishes bittersweet.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is, I’ll freely admit, a bit sticky.
Drinkability: A fairly easy-going, downright refreshing DIPA. Not at all the non-abrasive hop character I’d expect from a beer utilizing 15 different hops. Maybe 4½-6. The hop bitterness was so, well... mild, that I’m left wondering if this bottle is perhaps past its prime. However, as there are no freshness dates on the bottle that I can make out, the question can’t be sufficiently answered. I’ll make a mental note to revisit this one down the road.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jonte (1184) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - FEB 14, 2009
Bottle. Thanks to Marsiblursi. Amber/orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma: mostly sweet and a bit spicy, caramel, toasted malt, manure, only a faint hop aroma. Taste: malty & sweet, a bit of burning alcohol, bitter hops but not much taste or aroma hops. Full bodied. Probably this bottle was too old.
