Notevole.

On keg at BrewDog Edinburgh. Pours a bright, clear orange with a white head that fades to a thin film. Nose is orange, fruit, some caramel. Toffee apple? The initial malty sweetness is contrasted with big citrus hops. Mouthfeel is oily, in a good way. A bit unbalanced but still a very impressive brew.

(bottle) pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a frothy white head. aroma of caramel, resin and tropical fruits, especially pineapples and maracuja, with a touch of herbal hops, straciatella, grass and lime. flavour is mostly the same, with lots of caramel and a fruity medium hoppy profile, some light notes of alcohol, milk chocolate and grass. medium to heavy-bodied with soft carbonation and a medium bitter finish.

On tap at Dekkard’s. Feeling good about my choice of neighborhoods. Started the session with a Hopslam to prepare the Hop-15. Nice one-two if I might compliment my own awesomeness.
Hazy orange, off-white head. Big pine citrus nose. More and welcomely bitter and coarse than the Hopslam (Which I love if find just a bit too smooth. Like a just shy of perfect used car saleman. Which I once was.). Reminds actually of the Hopslam, drop in a succulent free range organic peach and 2/3rds more bitter harshness. More like a Tom Waits song than any other beer I’ve tried.

Pour clear dark amber with a small beige head leaving small lace. Aroma is very nice sweet, malty, piny, citric and hoppy. Fullbodied lean mouthfeel. Flavor is peppery, tart hoppy, raisins, malty, excellent. Peppery, tart sweet palate. Finishes with a balanced sweet, peppery and tart longlived aftertaste.

[22oz bottle at BrewDog Bar, Edinburgh] Hazy dark golden colour from the bottle with a decent fluffy white peaked head that retains a while. Big DIPA aromas – just screams hops at you from the first to the last. Smells like a pine forest. Quite sweet at first from the hefty alcohol, before the bitter oily pine and grapefruit hops pile their way through on the palate and leave before the boozy finish. Fantastic stuff [15032011]
