COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

22oz Bottle Pours out a orange amber topped with a nice head. Fresh hop aroma all over this one. Tast of citrus and sweetness. This was very good. My kind of double

This was an ASSAULT! This beer shredded my palate, and I couldn’t taste anything for the rest of the night. Very resinous, pine, loads of citrus, and grapefruit. No malt anywhere to be found, and the bitterness was intense. It stuck to my throat, and just coated it. For a hop head this is heaven.

Bomber. Pours a clear amber with some floaters. Initial 2 finger head that hangs on farily well. Nice lacing. Nose is ripe citrus fruits mainly with malt background. Palate is light biting into a ripe tangerine at first, then starts to sour to grapefruit until it finishes with a pine bite. Beer has a medium mouth feel and the 10.5% alcohol is nicely hidden. Fantastic brew - this is at the top of my IIPAs.

Bomber pours a transparent, orange amber with a active, frothy, slightly off white head. Shocker, the aroma is all hops: pine resin, lemons, grapefruit. Very bitter flavor with citrus fruits, some tropical fruits. Missed the sweeter malt backing that rounds out other DIPAs. Strong, bitter finish, no hint of alcohol. This might be a little overrated for me. I like my DIPAs and I like Pizza Port, but would this hold up in a blind tasting next to Hop Slam or Dreadnaught? I don’t think so.

A clear orange/golden colored beer with a thick foamy white head. The aroma op hops with citrus and orange. A little spices. The taste of hop bitter with fruits like citrus. Notes of sweet but quick moving to bitter. The aftertaste is bitter and fruity.

750 ml bottle. Clear orange with a nice greenish head. American hop aroma. Chinook? Nice sherry flavor note. Malty and thick. Big hoppy flavor. Great. Enjoyable.

Deep rusty copper, creamy tan head. Nose was just full of fresh melon tones, grassiness, and straight-up mary jane. If only I could have lit this brew up. Anyway, the flavor had every known hop characteristic known to mankind. Every sip had something going on, and was really hard to pinpoint anything except crazy crazy hops. Just a hint of sweetness in the end. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter, green hop finish. A profound hop experience it was...
