Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

Pours a nice hazy golden-orange color with a thick and fluffy yellow-tinted head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit, pine cones, sweet sugary malts, and a sweet citrus fruitiness. Flavors were hugely malty to start with, but quickly gave way to the fresh, spicy, piney hops. A really interesting and unique combination of hops in here... intense, earthy, a bit smoky, some bitter citrus/grapefruit rind, really nice complex realm of tastiness. Mouthfeel was pretty slick and syrupy, but that was cut short by the sharp astringent bitterness of the hops. Overall a great beer.

Murky copper with little head. Grapefruit, hops, pine sap, and citrus on the nose. Flavor is smooth with definite malt and sticky resinous qualities. Nice palate. Remarkable brew.

On tap for Pre-Stone brunch @ 10:00 AM. Great bright color and fruity aroma. A sweet, full bodied beer that got better as I drank it. Lots of flavor just bursting with eack swig. My type of beer,

Pours hazy peach with one finger head that leaves a nice thick lacing. Aroma is flowery, citrusy, sweet and resinous with every hop angle covered- from grapefruit to pine. Flavor is much more mild mannered than expected- very resinous with grassy, fruity, and flowery hop character. Sweet malt character provides excellent balance. Palate is sticky and smooth with a dry finish. One of my favorites of the style.

A wonderful treat that helps celebrate the end of a work week. Caramel custard, piney and citrus hops. Possibly my favorite beer, trying this beer could change peoples entire perception on 100 IBU beers.
