COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2011 Bottle. Pours a dark hony orange with nice haze. Aroma os extremely delicious hop. Moithfeel is great, nice explosion of flavor, in particular sweet citrusy candy and pine hop.

Picked up a case of the first bottling June 15 at Port Brewing (only available in bottle during the summer). Deep amber color with a rich white head. Aroma is hoppy citrus, pineapple and kiwi mingled with maltiness. Thick and flavorful -- hops hit you up front and finishes with a fruit sweetness. One of my favorite IPAs -- only drawback is that 10% ABV limits my ability to drink more.

Amazing beer. Tastes of very citrusy grapefruit and massive hops. Notes of pine, spices are also detected. This has got to be one of my favorite beers. Very well hidden 10.5% abv! amazing.

Pours a very hazy orange golden with very thick frothy white head that very slowly dissipates. Aroma is definite caramel, bread, spruce, grapefruit and floral notes (rosewater). Flavor is a earthy spruce and white grapefruit mix with bready undertones. Body is creamy but with a lot of carbonation.

22oz bottle. Cloudy copper/amber pour with a thin off-white head. Very crisp hop aroma with a bit of malt. Incredibly citrusy hop flavor with malt and some alcohol in the finish. I expected this to be good, but it was incredible.

23-APR-2010, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer". Lovely hazy orange color with a fine creamy off-white head. Nose is exactly what I hope for, and the reason I love IIPA’s. Citrus aroma is very present, but the taste is even better. Lost of grape fruit, even some malty notes, and a very very long liqour-like aftertaste. Alcohol absolutely present, but WOW this is good. Best IIPA I have had. Never had a bad or even mediocre Port Brewing so far:-)

On tap at The Taphouse, pours a beautiful creamy yellow with a lush white head. Aroma of resiny hops, citrus and caramel. Flavour features prominent grapefruit and pine notes above the resiny hops, citrus and caramel. An absolutely outstanding IIPA.

Split a bottle with Leafs93 at Monks. What a DIPA. Pours an orange red color with a white foam head. Has an aroma of grapefruit, pine and a hint of caramel. Sweet start, nice malty layer, then the hop hit. Harsh and resiny the way I like it. Love the creaminess. Very excellent DIPA.
