COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

courtesy of oh6gdx - hazy orange colour with a little foam; cheesy aroma with notes of quince; chewy malts and quite oily, dynamic palate, robust bitterness and a very dry bitter and very long fruity finish - a beautiful Imperial IPA

bottle. another nice hoppy ale! my first pizza port and I was quite impressed. hazy orange hue body. sticky white head. sweet hops up front. medium body seems pretty well balanced and not overwhelmingly hoppy. long bitter finish.

Nice copper pour to this one, lingering head, hops are forefront, some grapefruit, but it settles down with malt, and as it warms, becomes an easy drinking brew, somewhat sticky, great brew!

Poured reddish brown with very thin offwhite head. Aroma is piney/resiny citrus hops. The aroma is outstanding. The flavor is citrusy and bitter. Some malt charater adds a little balance, but this brew is HOPPY. Nice bitter finish with a touch of sweetness to the end. Excellent.

22oz bottle, WOw, this is great.. drinkable , dangerously so too, 10.0% on the bottle, thin head but has some taste that just puts this one perfectly, its perhaps a type of hop that is great, and this one works.. my west coast choice for Double Simcoe.

Pours a cloudy burned amber with a finger of white head that dies down slowly and laces beautifully. Smells of gigantic hops, citrus, rind that all blasts your smelling senses away. DIPA....yesssir! Throws flavors at you from everywhere. Citrus, malt, sweets and HUGE pine HOPS! Feels medium in the mouth and finishes deliciously dry and bitter from the hops. 10% abv?? You have to be kidding. This brew drinks like a single IPA at most and is a must try for any hoploving BA, multiple times!

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2009 Bottle at the “Drink for Charity” event at Rattle & Hum. Pours a hazy apricot gold with a medium white head. Pine, pineapple, vanilla, and sweety honeyed malt on the nose. Medium bodied and malty and just a balancing touch sweet. Ends with a very good grapefruit and quinine bitterness. Another one of the better ones for the day. Darn tasty. 848317

Rerated without remembering that I’d had it before: Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small white floaties and a medium sized toffee hued beige. Large pine, citrus, mango and pineapple, grapefruit aromas. Medium bodied, caramel, slightly oxidized malt, earthy hop bitterness. Slow quinine bitter finish. Very well done. 848417

On tap at the Toronado in San Fran. Pours a beautiful dark golden color with a big beige head. Nice big hop aroma of both grapefruit/orange and pine needles with some mild caramel in the background. Well balanced but leans more towards the hop bomb side of the spectrum, good spiciness to it as well. Will try to pick some of this up when I next visit Washington. Hope they start distributing to Oregon soon!
