Bomber. Pours an amber color with a thin head. Spotty lacing. Aroma of fragrant floral, citrus and tropical fruit hops in appley malts. Moderate resiny pine and grapefruit hop bitterness cuts into malts which are kind of sweet, but clean. Some chalkiness on the finish. Another great Cali 2IPA.

Jan 8, 2010 Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy amber color with a fizzy white head. Nose is full of pine, citrus, and caramel. Medium to full body with a clean, smooth mouth feel. Flavor is very earthy with notes of pine and grass well balanced with grapefruit and caramel giving the beer an overall moderate sweetness and mild bitterness. Finishes with a decent amount of hops bitterness. This one does not disappoint.

Jan 8, 2010 Bottle, pours a brown amber thick with a thick tan head, Aroma is nice and floral some spice with a little malt, Taste is over the top hop. Big floral numbs the tongue nicely but smooth some malty finish but mostly citrus and floral. One very good beer

Pours a cloudy brown with some light brown and dark brown stratification. Lots of yeast floating around. Not very attractive. The aroma has some oak, caramel malt and some sweetness. Not near as much hop character as I expected. The flavor is more of the same, with lots of toffee as well as some citrus hops and bitterness. Quite a strong malt backbone. Not as hoppy as expected. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.

Jan 3, 2010 Pours a slightly hazy orange/gold with white head. Aroma of citrus/pine hops with grapefruit, malt, honey. Taste is the same, great balanced beer with a huge but not overbearing hop finish. Fantastic DIPA. Cheers!

Jan 3, 2010 Pours cloudy orange copper. Tastes fluffy for an IPA^2. Love it. This is hands down my favorite style of beer. I’m kinda drunk right now. I give it a solid 4.o.

Jan 2, 2010 NYE 2008 I was blown away by a Stone Ruination IPA so I wanted a rocking double IPA to bookend the year. This was the biggest one I had in the fridge so I shared it with my girlfriend’s dad, who loved it. For me it tasted a little past its freshest with sticky old hops and a dry bitterness where I expected full, fresh fruit. The body is big and rich and there’s a lot of fruit in there, it was just a little old, sadly. Unfortunately I have to rate it on what I got and not what it could be... I will hopefully try this fresh sometime soon!

Jan 1, 2010 Bottle. Amber golden with a lazing white head. Sweet aroma and lots of hoppy notes. Flavour is heavy bitter with a lovely fruity hops, leading to a dry grassy finish.

Dec 25, 2009 Easily one of the best beers that I’ve ever had. The pour is cloudy goldish amber with a nice lasting chunky white head. The aroma is spicy, piney hops, but its the flavor that wins me over. Flavors of pineapple and orange in the beginning with some sweet, resiny malt backbone that just explodes into piney hops with a biting, spicy finish. The hops at the end linger like no other ipa. An excellent, excellent beer.
