4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler shared by Ed at the IPA tasting. Poured a clear deep goden body with a smaller foamy white head. Aroma is rotting tropical fruits, bad oranges, dirty hop cones, wet breads and dank moist hops. Fuller bodied with average carbonation and slightly dry finish. Flavor is the same as the aroma with lots of dank hoppiness. Good stuff here.

64oz growler. Huge thanks to GT2!! Pours a slightly hazy bright gold color with a finger of foamy white head. Huge fruity notes in the aroma. Grapefruit, pineapple, oranges, lemon, and papaya. Taste of bready malt, loads of grapefruit bitterness, citrus rind, and some lingering pine. Excellent beer!!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Pizza Port OB. Oh man, dry hoppy as hell with plenty of lemony Sorachi Ace. Clear light yellow gold with a creamy one finger white head, clingy lacing. Aroma has plenty of juicy fruity hops, lots of dry hopped goodness. Just some really light nutty rice in the aroma, which does follow through to the flavor. The finish is lemony Sorachi Ace again, and after a few seconds the flavor of ramen lingers, and not in a bad way. Like the 25 cent delicious ramen linger. So, the Sorachi definitely dominates, but there is a nice orange citrus bright fruit juiciness that is still present. Actually, the malt bill reminds me of Three Floyds Our Dear Leader, which also used rice (and Sorachi Ace). Bitterness peaked at a 4ish, dry. Light to moderate smooth carbonation with a medium body. Sorachi Ace is such a distinct hop, and I usually get sick of it, but maybe the other hops temper it enough (in this case) to not annoy me. Very tasty.

Draft at PP Carlsbad. Pours a golden color, with a slight haze and a white head. Nice lacing. Fresh dank hops, grapefruit, pineapple, melon, grain, maybe a bit of dry ramen noodles, and pine bitterness. Very flavorful and dry. Great IPA.

Tap at Beachwood Seal Beach thanks to womencantsail and at Long Beach thanks to Shane! Pours slightly lighter SRM than the Beachwood version, almost straw glowing with big sheets of lacing. Softy squashy nose with cantaloupe, vanilla, fresh biscuit. So juicy. Taste is really nice, so much juicy cantaloupe, honeydew rind, squash, sourdough biscuit, and potpourri. Slightly better than the Beachwood version but both are top IPAs in my book especially with the Amarillo and Citra combo. Great lacing. Tied for best IPA Iíve ever had. Absolutely insane.
