4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 tjthresh (1858) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - OCT 1, 2006
On tap at the falling rock. Tiny carbonation bubbles in a hazy yellow body rise to a pure with head that lasted the entire pint. Pure citrus and pine. Bubble gum aroma. Load of sticky hops with a sweet backdrop of malts. Medium body with a slightly sweet finish. Nothing really sets this apart, but its still pretty damn awesome.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2007 On tap at the Falling Rock. Hazy gold-amber pour...this thing has hop fumes running over the rim of the glass. Big citrusy hop nose..one of the biggest I can remember. Even more of the same in the flavor...some decent malt backup..wow, very tasty. Medium to full bodied..great mouthfeel. Resiny bitterness lingers to the end. I could use a glass of this stuff right now for breakfast.

On draft at Carlsbad Pizza Port. 9.1% abv. Peach color. hoppy nose with spiced floral tones. Velvety head. Egads - the waves of flavor keep rolling: hop, hop, malt, hop, hop, malt, on and on. a pleasant finish lingers. How on earth can they afford to make beers so laden with ingredients?

Draught, Avery Strong Ale Fest 2006.
Head is mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately to heavily hoppy (resin), lightly to moderately yeasty (dough), with a note of alcohol.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter.
Medium to full body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Like Hops on Rye, just another egregious use of foul-smelling hops and yeast.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BuckNaked (1231) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 30, 2006
Draught @ Lupulin Slam III: Pours to a clear medium amber body with a small beige colored head that recedes to a nice thin covering. The aroma is intense grapefruit, pine, showing very fresh hop notes, some nectarine, almost sweet fruit-like qualities. The taste is bitter, very fresh grapefruit, sea salt, pine, light fruits, along with just a hint of butter that blends into the taste well. Medium-full bodied, moderately carbonated.
