hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Oct 1, 2006 GABF 06. Huge resiny hop aroma, citrus. Taste is sweet malt and delicious sweet citrus hops up front, with a very piney bitterness that lingers and sticks to your palate well after you are done drinking it. great for a hophead. tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Oct 1, 2006 On tap at the falling rock. Tiny carbonation bubbles in a hazy yellow body rise to a pure with head that lasted the entire pint. Pure citrus and pine. Bubble gum aroma. Load of sticky hops with a sweet backdrop of malts. Medium body with a slightly sweet finish. Nothing really sets this apart, but its still pretty damn awesome. BrockLanders (747), Panama City, Florida, USA Sep 30, 2006 Updated: Mar 12, 2007On tap at the Falling Rock. Hazy gold-amber pour...this thing has hop fumes running over the rim of the glass. Big citrusy hop nose..one of the biggest I can remember. Even more of the same in the flavor...some decent malt backup..wow, very tasty. Medium to full bodied..great mouthfeel. Resiny bitterness lingers to the end. I could use a glass of this stuff right now for breakfast. WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Sep 24, 2006 on tap. Sampled at the San Diego Festival of Beers 2006 9/22/06. Pours a nice light straw with a superb hoppy aroma. The taste is strong bitter and hoppy everything I could want in a nice solid imperial IPA. The abv on this version was at least 10%. kwoeltje (1313), Manchester, Missouri, USA Sep 16, 2006 (snifter at Papago’s) Nice amber color with small tan head. Aroma is surprisinglly subtle. Then you take a sip - POW, a ton of citrus hops right in the kisser. Fabulous Imperial IPA. Schultsc (478), Henderson, Nevada, USA Sep 14, 2006 Updated: Feb 28, 2009Orange-gold color with a fine creamy head. Caramelized orange peel aroma with some woodsy earthiness as well. Clean, clear, focussed hop bitterness with densely packed hop flavor. Some maltiness in the body with a strong though well integrated alcohol character. BigBastard (668), L.A., California, USA Sep 12, 2006 Citrus, pine sap aroma. Poured thick like amber oil.
