GABF 2007. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and very grassy and also with notes of the alfaacid. The flavor has notes of grass, grapefruit, spices, and hops - going overboard and lending the beer an acidity from the hops and showing off the alfaacids.

(draft, Lupulin Slam III) Clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, light caramel, incredibly inviting despite the simple description. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, caramel, pine. Medium-full body, some resin, alcohol well hidden.

On tap at the 10th Annual San Diego Strong Ale Festival: Pours a slightly hazy bright golden bronze with a thin coating of wispy off-white head. Sweet caramel malty nose boasts lots of fresh piny hops. Starts sweet and hoppy, intense in both regards, but well-balanced and surprisingly drinkable. Fresh, resiny, sticky, piny hops coat the tongue sprinkled with some sweet toffee flavor and hides the alcohol very well. This was my favorite beer of the festival.

Draft... RFD/DC Lupolin Slam (leftovers)... Hazy, prune-colored ale with a small, frothy, off-white head. Excellent retention. The citrusy aroma is all about grapefruit. Medium-bitter flavor with tons of grapefruit and tangerine rind. Nice malt, but it’s really not the star of the show. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. Bold and satisfying, but refreshing at the same time. Excellent beer!
