On tap, Dr. Bill and Stiney’s 12 hour beer bash, 2006. Pours a slightly hazy copper body under a small whispy off-white head. Aroma is intense citric hoppiness, some lighter doughy malt, and an dried leafy note. Flavor is very bright biting hoppiness. Finishes very citrusy with alot of lingering bitterness. The malt is lurking in the background, but stays there from front to back. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with moderate prickly carbonation. Really very good, perfectly balanced in it’s un-balancedness.

Tap@Toronado. Pours with a copper color and a nice head. Strong aromas of flowers, hops. Flavors are fairly complex and there is lot going on:flowers, hops, malts hints of flemon and grapefruit. The finish turns slightly sweet. Excellent.

Excellent IIPA from pizza port. Pours a hazy orange/gold with sticky white head. Grapefruit, tropical fruit (papaya, mango, pineapple), sweet pine, caramel malt, spice, pepper, and bitter floral hops. Damn this is good stuff.

Warm amber color with fluffy white head. Aroma has hints of grass, mint, lemon zest, pine needles and touches of shampoo. Taste is full and has a refined dry herby edge with a well balanced bitterness of nice citric hops.

on tap. Sampled at the San Diego Festival of Beers 2006 9/22/06. Pours a nice light straw with a superb hoppy aroma. The taste is strong bitter and hoppy everything I could want in a nice solid imperial IPA. The abv on this version was at least 10%.

On tap at O’Briens; bronze/amber in color with an off white head. Aroma of citrus and melon with some caramel, pine and fruit. Very nice fruity and citrus flavor; balanced with a solid caramel presence. Some sugary presence to it. Solidly to largely hopped for the style. Some grassiness as well. What makes it distinct is a pronounced melon presence. Another of the great IIPA’s from San Diego.

On tap at PP C-Bad. Almost non-existent head with a clear dark golden hue. Aroma of pine citrus and hops. Strong on the palate. Flavors of strong bitter clean hops with a subtle malt hopo flavor. Excellent length of finish with a tasty flavor.Alcohol fairly prominent. Very good.

Enjoyed at Stone World Bistro and Gardens. A luminescently yellow/amber beer. Has a pillowy white head that dissipated quickly. Arome is of huge fresh hops, like being in the field during harvest. This is the most fresh-tasting hoppy beer that I have ever had. Lots of fresh resin tastes on the palate. Quite enjoyable, especially for a DIPA.
