Aug 6, 2008 From tap at Solana Beach. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Dry wheaty and estery banana aroma. Flavour is sweet and classic wheaty yet also very fruity. Lingering fruity finish and into a rather dry finish. Classic wheat beer.

Mar 23, 2006 <i>Draft at Pizza Port Solana Beach:</i> Cloudy yeasty yellow, nose of sulfur, tangy wheat and lots of clove and light banana. The flavor is juicy yet tart. Finishes wet, sweet, not on the spot for me.

Aug 18, 2004 Generous clove monsoons duly sprinkle the vast banana plantations…Feathery, sweet citrus fragrances pass by once in a while to scent the yeast pillow underneath…A creamy and hugely tasty dessert weizen…

Oct 12, 2005 On tap from the brewpub. Tasted during trip to California. Yellow cloudy colour with a weak head. Nice wheat and yeasty flavour. One of the best american wheat I have try. Nice yeasty and refreshing taste.

Sep 19, 2004 Updated: May 8, 2005(Draft: Pizza Port in Solana Beach, CA) I really enjoyed this beer, but man, there’s nothing subtle here. Starts off with a huge, sweet banana and Bazooka Joe nose! Accordingly, the flavor is sweet, banana, bubble gum, moderate spice/clove, but is only mildly bitter. Medium bodied with a sweet, sticky palate, though it seems a little thin behind the sweetness. Dark golden/orange and fully cloudy. Off-white head is large and foamy, maintains a thin layer, and leaves a dense, thin blanket of lacing.
