Generous clove monsoons duly sprinkle the vast banana plantations…Feathery, sweet citrus fragrances pass by once in a while to scent the yeast pillow underneath…A creamy and hugely tasty dessert weizen…

On tap at Pizza port Solana Beach. Yiga poured me a cloudy golden straw hued beer with a nice banana nose and a cool white head. Taste was insane, nice yeast presence with a good banana and good malt backbone balance. I dug this one quite a bit, I know I shouldn’t be drinking during work but DAMN, I’m a beer distributor for crying out loud!!!!!!!!

(Draft: Pizza Port in Solana Beach, CA) I really enjoyed this beer, but man, there’s nothing subtle here. Starts off with a huge, sweet banana and Bazooka Joe nose! Accordingly, the flavor is sweet, banana, bubble gum, moderate spice/clove, but is only mildly bitter. Medium bodied with a sweet, sticky palate, though it seems a little thin behind the sweetness. Dark golden/orange and fully cloudy. Off-white head is large and foamy, maintains a thin layer, and leaves a dense, thin blanket of lacing.

At Solana Beach, Gold and slightly hazed with a smallish head. Huge banana esthers in aroma along with some clove and spice notes. Really nice yeast strain. Medium bodied, easy to drink. Nice yeast and clove in flavors. These guys brew some really nice beers!

Pours a straw color with a large white head. Excellent lacing with a very milky appearance. Banana and clove is the best way to describe the aroma notes of this traditional Hefeweizen. Flavors similar to the aroma. Banana and cloves with yeast and light malt intermingling within the mouth. Good Hefeweizen that is probably the best I've ever had of this style.
