Tap at the brewpub. Clear deep golden. Massive webby lacing. Nose is sharper lemon, sticky candies, cantaloupe, sweet pineapple. Taste is bitter, dusty, quite papery and astringent. Long, drying, papery finish. May not be so fresh but that seems unlikely.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler, thanks Casey. Pours a hazy orange with a big white head. Aroma is super dank, cat piss aroma. Taste is more choppy dank dry with a lot of peanut overtones. Lager comes through at the end to really finish it off well. Similar to humulus lager but this trumps it for me.

Tried as a sampler at the Monk, great aroma for a lager, citrus in the taste, crisp and dry, I donít expect a lot from strong lagers but this was good.

lots of grapefruit and wood. Well balanced with an aggressive hoppy finish. Good malty backbone. I like this a lot. Much lighter than 7%.

I had this on tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. Itís a golden pour with a smallish white head. The aroma and flavor are of citrus hops. Itís dry on the finish. Itís very drinkable and well-crafted

A: The pour is a hazy golden color with a tint of orange to it and a smallish white head.
S: A really nice and fresh hop nose to this beer. Lots of citrus like grapefruit and tangerine with a bit of pineapple providing sweetness. There are some pine notes, but not much in contrast to the fruit.
T: Things are just as solid on the palate. The pine notes and bitterness are more pronounced here, but thereís still plenty of tangerine and grapefruit peel. Just a touch of pineapple comes through and no malt whatsoever.
M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation. Nice and crisp on the finish with a little bitterness lasting on the tongue.
D: Maybe not quite as good as Humulus Lager, but still pretty nice. I like how these types of beers really provide a clean slate for the hops to shine.
