> Atypical malt forward, pine heavy east coast IPA

[ Growler ][ 32oz ][ PP Solana ][ $10 fill ][ Glazen Toren Tulip ][ 7.19.14 ]
>> Clear deep orange pour. Huge rocky foam, huge retention, huge lace. Nose is pine, resin, flashes of buttery biscuit and vanilla. Taste is raw grain, not sweet at all, dry, rustic. Abv is restrained. More pine forward, more East coast IPA.

>!< not bad, but why even bother with this

On tap at the source. Pours with a clear full golden hued body with a retentive white head. Aromas are floral, citrus, tangerine, sticky resin, low malt. Flavors are of tangerine, hoppy, floral, citrus, medium-high hop intensity, bright, grapefruit. Good pale. Medium malt, dry, low alcohol perception, moderate to fuller carbonation, lower bodied. Good.

Pours an orange color with a white head. Nose is citrusy, mostly orange, with some floral, grass, and marijuana aroma. A bit of bready malt sweetness, too. There is a sweet malt character to it, mostly bread and toast. Floral and citrusy hops without the same weed note that was there on the nose. Only a light bitterness on the finish.

A Sim rate (tap at 4:20): Sweet, hoppy aroma of peach, citric fruit & woody goodness. Appearance is a reddish amber with a great head that just lasts. Flavour is delicate and refreshing. Citric again, with a hoppiness that kicks your ass in its bitter finish. Sharp but delicate all at once. Good beer.

On tap. Almost clear amber golden with a creamy off-white head leaving a broad curtain of lacework. Fresh aroma of pine and peach. Medium body with sweetish caramel and fruit, before the aroma hops leave a massive bitterness. Delicious. 080709

From tap at the brewpub in Solana Beach. Pours clear and golden orange with a small, creamy and dense white head. Hoppy and fruity aroma. Flavour is crisp apple and grapefruity. Light malt base. Dry and bitter flavoured finish. Nice and smooth.

Draft at Solana Beach. A hazy dark golden beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma is lovely hoppy - citrusy - grapefruit, lime peel as well as malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops lending it lovely notes of grapefruit and grass, leading to a very bitter finish. Nice.
